BIG W has expanded its beauty range with 420 new products from 22 viral cosmetic brands, tapping into the growing demand for affordable and accessible beauty products inspired by social media trends.
More than 72 per cent of the new range is priced under $25, with half of all items costing less than $15. The expansion follows the rise of TikTok as a key driver of beauty trends, with the participating brands collectively amassing more than 230 million likes on the platform.
As part of the revamp, BIG W has also launched its first own-brand bath and body range, Beauty Bar, featuring products such as body butters, scrubs, lip oils, bubble baths, and bath bombs infused with globally trending fragrances including sticky date, jam donut, and vanilla honey. Prices in the collection start at $6.
“We’ve scoured the globe and kept a close eye on social media trends to bring the most buzz-worthy brands directly to our stores, giving Aussies a luxe-for-less shopping option,” said Taylah Gahan, BIG W’s Beauty Category Manager.
“This range revamp means it’s never been easier for Aussies to shop their favourite brands in one place, at prices that won’t break the bank. Not only have we refreshed our range,
but we’re also enhancing our stores, to provide shoppers with a beauty shop within shop experience and great customer service in our BIG W stores.”
The retailer’s new lineup includes both international and Australian-founded brands such as Skin Control and BOOST LAB, with Quick Faced and Quick Mist available exclusively at BIG W. The range also reflects the rising popularity of Korean beauty, now featuring brands including Skin1004, Frudia, Some By Mi, and COSRX — whose hashtag has accumulated over two billion TikTok views.
Among the standout products expected to be in high demand are the Hero Pimple Patches, Daise fragrance mists, and Skin Control Glazing Mask. Current bestsellers at BIG W include the Skin Control Pimple Patch, Collagen Glass Mask, and MCo Xtend Lash and Setting Spray.
