Pringles has renewed its partnership with Movember for a third year, launching the campaign with a community Shave Down at Drakes Golden Grove in Adelaide on November 1 to support men’s mental health.
More than two in five Australian men experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime, underscoring the importance of connection and open conversation. The Shave Down event aims to encourage people to begin Movember clean-shaven, spark conversations and raise awareness around men’s wellbeing.
Attendees at the Adelaide launch were offered complimentary shaves from Uncle Gino’s Barber Shop, appearances from the Pringles mascot, giveaways, games, and access to Movember’s online conversation tools. Exclusive in-store offers included buy-one-get-one-free cans and half-price Pringles for one day.
Ileana Andrei, Senior Brand Manager for Salty Snacks at Kellanova ANZ, said the long-running collaboration reflects a commitment to helping Australians support each other. “Starting the conversation can make all the difference. Pringles is proud to partner with Movember for a third year to encourage Australians across the nation to connect with their mates and check in on each other,” she said.
“The Shave Down at Drakes Golden Grove is a light-hearted way for the community to get involved while also supporting an important cause. We hope to show our true commitment to supporting men’s mental health through our ongoing relationship with the incredible charity that is close to many Aussies’ hearts. Wherever you plan to support Movember, Mo Brothers and Mo Sisters can do their bit for the cause by using the Pringles x Movember Conversations tool, helping spark these vital talks from anywhere.”
Movember’s Director of Partnerships, Kieran Ryan, said the event helps break down barriers around mental health. “Too many men still struggle in silence because they don’t know how to start the conversation. Events like the Shave Down help normalise those chats and remind men that support is available. Beginning the month with a community shave down is a great way to show that small actions can make a big difference.”
The event forms part of ongoing efforts to promote open dialogue and community connection during Movember.
