Liandra showcased its Coral of Life collection at Australian Fashion Week 2025 at Sydney’s Carriageworks.

The collection introduces two new exclusive hand-drawn prints namely Coral of Life and Seascape.

Founded by Yolngu designer Liandra Gaykamangu, the designs depict the deep interconnectedness of the Yolngu people, culture, nature, and ancestral heritage.

Likening it to a coral, the brand explains that this connection continues to grow, evolve, and continue through the next generations.

“This latest collection is deeply personal – inspired by culture, movement, and the beauty of interconnectedness. I’m incredibly proud of how far the brand has come, and I can’t wait to
showcase what we’ve been working on to bring our community into the wider fashion industry,” said Gaykamangu.

Liandra also boasts that its swimwear collections use AceTex swim fabric, known for its superior stretch, shape retention, and resistance to chlorine, saltwater, and UV rays.

For its clothing range, the company said it actively prioritises working with fabrics that are certified, such as the Bamboo Satin Blend, which has a Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification.

Models at Liandra’s presentation had their hair styled by the Schwarzkopf Professional team, led by Jason Fassbender and Dee Parker-Atwood, with makeup by Make Up For Ever under the direction of Karyssa Leigh.

Anmatyerr woman and rising artist, Rona Ngamperle, performed the music during the showcase.
