Leading point of sale and retail merchandising company EDA Australasia (EDA) has received four awards at the 2014 POPAI Australia and New Zealand annual awards.

In the Beauty and Professional Healthcare category, EDA won a Silver Indian (award) for its project with L’Oreal. For this project EDA created a space efficient cosmetic unit, called Sparkle, which attracted a lot of customer attention and showed strong results.

One of the unique design elements of the unit was its ability to split into three sections to allow for quick and easy installation. The shelves can be moved with the electrical connections being able to disengage and re-engage as the shelf is removed and re-installed. No tools are required to adjust the shelves, which make it adaptable for the retailer’s different needs.

In the Store Design (shop within a shop) category, EDA received a Silver Indian for its project with Canon in Perth. Canon Australia tasked EDA with designing and developing a new best in class concept ‘store in store’ experience to encourage shoppers to trial the products. The design included the entire unit to be physically raised above the design floor to encourage customers to ‘step inside’ and gain an immersive retail experience. EDA’s solution successfully increased Canon’s market share from 28 percent to 35 percent and improved sales by 15 percent.

The company also took out two Bronze Indians, one in the Service and Lifestyle Providers category for its work with Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific in the Perth International Airport Arrivals and Departures Halls, and the other in the Short Run (permanent) category for its work with Napoleon Perdis in Myer, Melbourne.

Owner and Managing Director of EDA Australasia, John Atwill, is excited to celebrate the company’s award wins. “Our dedicated team has worked extremely hard on a number of projects throughout the year and I’m proud to celebrate their hard work with a number of prestigious industry awards.”

“The awards are a testament to the results generated for our clients and our ability to create point of sale solutions that deliver the right in-store environment to provide great commercial outcomes,” said Mr Atwill.

EDA is an award-winning point of sale and retail merchandising company, delivering high quality production and cost control across the entire supply chain – from concept and design through to installation.
