POPAI conference to focus on sustainability in retail marketing

The Future's So Bright Green Sustainability Conference, an initiative of Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) Australia and New Zealand, will be held in Sydney on 22 October.

The conference aims to bring together retailers, industry suppliers and brands to learn from 'best practice' sharing, and sustainability initiatives from leading brands and retailers, industry associations and their members.

POPAI and the retail marketing industry's vision is to provide decision-makers with insights and strategies to meet consumer demand for more environmentally responsible products.

Fourteen speakers will make presentations dedicated to sustainability, including Dr Caroline Noller, head of corporate responsibility, The GPT Group; Paul Lang, environment manager Coles – retail development; Leyla Acaroglu, product design research consultant RMIT University, Centre for Design; Richard Evans, CEO Australian Retailers Association; and Janette Lewell, partner Deloitte Corporate Responsibility Practice.
