Bing Lee backs the Sydney Swans

Bing Lee has become a premier partner of Sydney AFL team, the Sydney Swans for the next three years.

Bing Lee Chief executive officer Lionel Lee says the sponsorship with the Sydney Swans is driven by the team’s renowned strong family supporter base and universal appeal across Sydney.

“The partnership fits perfectly with Bing Lee's family values and the desire to succeed,” he says.

“The sponsorship offers a platform for Bing Lee to continue working with progressive sporting organisations and their members. We are proud to be involved with one of Sydney’s leading sporting teams.”

The three-year deal will allow Bing Lee and the Sydney Swans to develop a strong and co-operative sponsorship, which follows the Bing Lee tradition of partnering with successful iconic brands.

“Bing Lee has become one of NSW’s largest electrical retailers with a strong brand presence and we are excited to form this alliance with the Sydney Swans who are an integral part of the Sydney landscape,” says Lee.

Swans chief executive Myles Baron-Hay says he is looking forward to the partnership and appreciates the support.

“Bing Lee and the Swans have much in common – we’re both very Sydney and both share a focus on family. Bing Lee is obviously a family business whose principal clients are families. The Swans are a family-friendly club, welcoming both men and women, the young and the old where ever you live,” he says.

The new relationship adds to Bing Lee’s support of Sydney centric properties. In 2007 Bing Lee began its support of Taronga Zoo by sponsoring the endangered Francois Langur monkeys and, later in the year was announced as the major sponsor of Sydney Football Club.
