Flooring retailer Carpet Court has teamed up with interior designers Darren Palmer and Stacey Kouros to launch the company’s new creative direction.
A suite of new TVCs featuring Darren and Stacey will air from 19 August 2012 and will be supported by online advertising, Carpet Court’s new social media campaign and numerous local marketing initiatives.
Carpet Court’s national marketing manager Natasha Gallardo said the new direction is led by the insight that the first step in decoration and styling a room starts with the floor.
“The new creative is based on the idea that flooring is the fundamental component of designing a room, and is the place interior designers and homemakers begin when planning to decorate a space,” said Gallardo.
Launching 20 August 2012, a social media competition will encourage interior design enthusiasts and experts across the country to share their own style and inspirations with Carpet Court.
Running over six weeks, the competition gives entrants the chance to win a $10,000 room makeover, together with the styling services from Darren or Stacey.
The competition is housed on Facebook, with further activity planned for Carpet Court’s new Twitter and Pinterest profiles where trends, tips and styling advice will be shared.
At selected Carpet Court stores, the company is rolling out new interactive design hubs where customers can utilise the latest in technology and design tools with access to expert advice. Later in the year, Carpet Court will also be launching a digital tool which will allow customers to use 3D technology to simulate room design when choosing products.
Bruni Dunn Advertising is the creative agency behind Carpet Court’s new positioning and TVC. PR Edge is overseeing the social media campaign.
