David Jones boosts rewards program with frequent flyer points

has entered an agreement with American Express
to add frequent flyer points as a rewards option for its David Jones American Express and store card programs.
It is one of a number of initiatives rolled out by the department store to improve its financial services business by enticing new customers to the card program.
The company first announced its intention to enhance this division on March 21 as part of a Future Strategic Direction.
“We are delighted to welcome Qantas Frequent Flyer as a new partner to our David Jones card rewards program to sit alongside our current American Express Membership Rewards program,” says CEO Paul Zahra.
The frequent flyer option will launch in the second half of 2012 in line with the launch of the new David Jones American Express Platinum Card. Details of the Qantas frequent flyer rewards option will be released at the same time.
