The Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA) has launched a new blogging hub for the gift and homewares community.
This will give the opportunity for industry members share ideas, talk trends and network.
The AGHA blog brings together more than 10 leading bloggers and industry experts who will delve into topics ranging from product and design trends to sustainable business practices to social media marketing.
There are also plans to introduce a forum section and other new features in the future, allowing retailers and wholesalers to comment, ask questions of bloggers and share inspiration, ideas and advice.
George Lancaster, marketing and membership manager, said the blog was a first for Australia’s gift and homewares industry and designed to become AGHA’s hub for communication with and between members.
“The Home & Giving Fairs provide a terrific opportunity for retailers and wholesalers to meet, build business relationships and discuss important issues and concerns – but that’s only nine days in a year,” he said.
“We want to recreate that same interaction every day with the blog and ultimately build a vibrant online community within the gift and homewares world.”
Industry experts featuring on the AGHA blog include Re-Imagine Business founder and sustainable business expert Connie Comber, Interiors Addict blogger Jen Bishop, Micromex Research CEO Warren Liackman, OPUS director and social media expert Chris Tourgelis, and StreetHawk founder and direct marketing specialist Natasha Rawlings.
Lancaster said AGHA was also eager to hear from other potential bloggers and gift and homewares operators with an opinion to share.
“The blog is for everyone, not just AGHA members. We want to know more about what retailers and wholesalers are experiencing at the coalface. We want to hear their questions, their ideas, their concerns and their passions,” he said.
