Adam Rigby will head LivingSocial Australia and New Zealand as executive general manager.

Rigby will be the chief executive overseeing the company’s operations and will direct the strategy and operations of Australia and New Zealand’s group buying sites.

Previously serving as COO for LivingSocial Australia and co-founded group buying site JumpOnit, whose acquisition by LivingSocial closed earlier this year, Rigby replaces current country head Colin Fabig, who has assumed the role of chairman and will continue to serve as a senior adviser to the company.

“As COO, Adam Rigby helped make LivingSocial into the most popular group buying brand in Australia and New Zealand, and I am delighted he will be taking over our day-to-day operations there,” said Eric Eichmann, president of international for LivingSocial.

“I am confident that under Adam’s leadership, our talented group of employees will continue to offer our members the best deals possible everyday and provide our merchants with the great support they’ve come to expect from us.”
