Salmat officially launched its digital business Salmat Digital on Monday.

As part of an expansion of the company’s multichannel communications portfolio, Salmat Digital will offer services and capabilities cover web development, e-commerce, digital platform, social media, mobile applications, interactive email, SMS and Lasoo.com.

Nick Spooner, CEO Salmat Digital, said the new arm of the company will assist businesses, particularly retailers, to attract the right customers, grow old customers and help grow their profitability.

“We live in a world where technology is becoming more complicated, decision making process is becoming more complicated and multichannel strategy is no longer an option but a necessity to deliver and engage our audience,” he said.

Spooner described Australia as being “smack back in the middle of the eye of the digital storm” as he indicated that 50 per cent of all of Australia’s retail decisions are based on some form of online transaction.

“In a changing world where technology is sophisticated than ever before it’s not an easy process to change strategy. There is no one size fits all and Salmat Digital is the leading integrated digital communications provider that provides all the solutions,” he said.
