Taking advantage of the recently launched Google Shopping in Australia is Super Retail Group that will be signing itself up as a foundation retailer on the platform.

Each of the group’s four brands, Supercheap Auto, BCF, Goldcross Cycles and Ray’s Outdoors will engage with the service.

Super Retail Group managing director and CEO Peter Birtles said Google Shopping will enable each of the group’s brands to reach shoppers when they are searching on Google for items to buy, and offer them products and deals relevant to their needs and budget.

“Australian shoppers will have access to the complete range of products currently available online at the Group’s existing ecommerce sites, and by using Google Product Search can now refine their search to yield only those products relevant to specifically defined criteria” he said.

By aligning with Google Shopping, Super Retail Group intends to extend its reach and relevance to customers by connecting its range of products to the shoppers searching for them.

According to the company, this move is the latest in its move towards integrating the group’s bricks and mortar stores with its online offering and product fulfilment logistics.

“The addition of Google Product Search to our suite of channels will enhance our existing online offer and strengthen our multi-brand, multi-channel retail strategy, while we strive to achieve our vision of being Australasia’s most highly regarded specialty retailer” Birtles said.

The group recently re-launched its existing eCommerce site, while launching www.supercheapauto.co.nz to cater for customers of its Supercheap Auto New Zealand business.
