Clive Peeters and CRA launch in-store promotion

Clive Peeters and Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) today announced a major joint Christmas promotion whereby Peter Blasina will give shoppers in-store demonstrations on the new technology.
Blasina, who is recognised as one of Australia’s foremost commentators on technology developments, will provide Clive Peeters customers with information on the new digital stations, the range of digital radios available and will demonstrate how to use the digital radio technology.
“I’ll be showing customers the scrolling text on digital radio, the pause and rewind available on some models and playing in store the great new digital only stations that are now available, simply by switching on your digital radio,” said Peter Blasina.
The 15-minute long demonstrations will be held in Clive Peeters’ Sydney stores in the lead up to Christmas before moving to Melbourne stores in January to capitalise on the post-Christmas sale period.
“This in-store promotion will work well with our digital radio Christmas on-air campaign,” says Joan Warner chief executive officer of Commercial Radio Australia.
“Anecdotal in-store experience has shown us that when listeners try digital radio and hear not only all their favourite stations but the great new digital stations, they are keen to buy.”
Clive Peeters’ national AV/IT product manager, Matt Wagner-Smith, has revealed the demonstrations will include fun giveaways and special digital radio sale prices as well as allowing customers to quiz Blasina with any questions.
